Saul ‘El Canelo’ Alvarez defeated Austin Trout by unanimous decision for the WBA super welterweight title and retaining his WBC title. After dominating almost from start to finish, Canelo knocked down the now former undefeated champion in the seventh round, a first in Trout’s career. The judges scores were all for Canelo; 115-112, 116-111 and 118-109. “El Tapatio” isn’t sure who will be his next opponent, but he knows that he will return to the ring on September 14, possibly against Floyd Mayweather or Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto.
