NSN.-One day after a New York City official proposed raising the legal city’s legal smoking age from 18 to 21, Alderman George Cárdenas talked about following the push.
The 12th Ward alderman, Health Committee Chairman said that restricting the cigarette sales to teens “is something worth considering because kids are smoking now”.
Cárdenas has proposed that young people under 21 be prohibited from purchasing and kind of tobacco products. One 2009 study shows that at least 20 percent of the smoked cigarettes.
